Care Guide

A little care goes a long way. These are the habits that keep leather supple and soles sound for years.

01Every wear

  • Rest each pair for 24 hours between wears so the lining can dry.
  • Insert cedar shoe trees straight after wearing to absorb moisture and hold the shape.
  • Brush off dust with a soft horsehair brush.
  • Use a long shoehorn — never crush the heel counter.

02Calfskin & smooth leather

Wipe with a slightly damp cloth, let it dry naturally away from heat, then apply a neutral cream every 6–8 wears. Buff with a clean brush. Avoid saturating the leather with water; if caught in rain, stuff with paper, dry slowly and condition.

03Suede & nubuck

Brush gently in one direction with a suede brush. Lift marks with a suede eraser. Apply a protector spray before first wear and monthly. Never use cream or polish.

04Canvas, mesh & rubber

Remove laces and brush off dirt. Clean with mild soap, lukewarm water and a soft brush. Air dry — never use a washing machine or a tumble dryer. Wipe rubber soles with a damp cloth.

05Storage

Store in the supplied dust bags, in a cool, dry, ventilated place away from direct sunlight. Do not store in plastic.

06Resoling & refinishing

With good care, a welted pair will outlive several soles. When it is time, our atelier can resole and refinish it — start a resoling request.
